SaskPower Solar Installation Process - Prairie Sun Solar

If you decide Prairie Sun Solar is right for you, we would love to work with you. And here's what you can expect moving forward. First we take a deposit and we gather your SAS Power account information. Basically what we do is this allows us to apply to the net metering program with SAS Power as well as we do electrical drawings. Slds they're called and we submit these to TSASC who does the electrical inspections. The process for this, depending on the time of year, can take anywhere from three weeks to eight weeks. So this is a bit of a time limiting step. So if you're thinking about doing solar in the spring, it's always good for us to get these applications applied for early winter. What happens is SaaS Power does an interconnection study which we cover the cost of and then they send you a net metering agreement. Everything comes emailed to you. So let us know when you start getting emails from Cesspower. They will require you to review and sign and send back to them. Once this process is completed. We work with you to make an install date that works for both of us. We come to your site, we do the installation. Once the installation process is complete, Trevor lines up an inspection with TSASC so he finds inspector in the area. He lines up a date to come to your house on site and do an electrical inspection to make sure everything we did was proper and to code. Once this is complete and passed, all that paperwork gets sent to SAS Power. They then deploy someone to come change your meter from a regular meter to a bi directional meter. This bi directional meter allows them to log the credits that you send back so that they can be logged on your bill the next month. Once this process is complete, you are good to go and your system is up and running and you'll be saving money long term.
